Our Story

Red Dog Blue Dog was established to honor and remember Tucker and Toby Terrono, a.k.a. The Buddies. Tucker and Toby were black Labrador littermates that were often identified by the color of their collars, Tucker was the red dog, and Toby was the blue dog. They brought a tremendous amount of light, laughter, and love to their human family. 

After the devastating loss of their senior pups, it was difficult to imagine when the family was going to be able to welcome another four-legged family member into their hearts and home. At the same time, Catherine was missing the day-to-day companionship and emotional connection of her buddies. Recently graduating with her bachelor's degree in business administration, she had left her 20-year career in healthcare with plans to embark on a new journey in the Project Management industry. While struggling to secure a position in Project Management, she started picking up a few pet sitting gigs. Her difficulty to land a job within her chosen field was both a curse and a blessing, because for the first time in several years, she discovered that she was doing what her heart told her she was supposed to do. She knew nothing would be able to fill the space that her buddies would always hold in her heart, but she wondered if managing a full-time pet sitting career would satisfy her passion to love and care for all animals and commemorate Tucker and Toby.

After six months of contract pet sitting. Catherine and Tim Terrono founded Red Dog Blue Dog Pet Services.
